India, Aug. 10 -- Gold prices rose Rs 455, or 0.3%, to Rs 1.52 lakh per 10 grams in futures trade on Monday, supported by firm spot demand and fresh buying by speculators.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for October delivery advanced to Rs 1,52,275 per 10 grams, with a business turnover of 1,127 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in gold prices to fresh positions created by market participants, which strengthened buying interest in the precious metal.
