India, July 9 -- Gold futures rebounded nearly 1% in domestic markets on Thursday, recovering from early losses as value buying and a weaker US dollar supported prices despite heightened geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures for August delivery rose Rs 1,038, or 0.72%, to Rs 1,44,749 per 10 grams, snapping a three-session losing streak.
Market participants said bargain hunting following the recent correction, coupled with weakness in the US dollar, helped lift gold prices even as investors continued to monitor escalating tensions in the Middle East.
