India, Aug. 18 -- Gold futures prices declined Rs 544 to Rs 1,55,396 per 10 grams in Tuesday's trading, weighed down by subdued demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for October delivery slipped Rs 544, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 1,55,396 per 10 grams, with a business turnover of 9,895 lots.

Analysts said the decline in precious metal prices was primarily driven by weaker demand in the spot market.
