India, Aug. 31 -- Gold futures declined Rs 2,045, or 1.31%, to Rs 1,54,236 per 10 grams on Monday, tracking subdued demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for October delivery traded lower at Rs 1,54,236 per 10 grams, with 2,680 lots changing hands.
Analysts attributed the decline in gold futures to weaker spot demand, which weighed on buying interest in the precious metal.
