India, Aug. 21 -- Gold futures moved higher in Friday's trade, with prices gaining Rs 1,432 to Rs 1,60,857 per 10 grams as firm demand in the spot market prompted traders to build fresh positions.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the October-delivery contract rose 0.9 per cent to Rs 1,60,857 per 10 grams, with 2,542 lots recorded in turnover.
Analysts said the increase in fresh positions by market participants supported the precious metal's futures prices.
