India, July 27 -- Gold futures rose 0.69% to Rs 1,44,090 per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Monday, supported by firm demand in the spot market and fresh buying by traders.
The August delivery contract gained Rs 984 to Rs 1,44,090 per 10 grams, with a business turnover of 591 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in gold prices to fresh position-building by market participants amid strong spot demand.
