India, July 6 -- Fitch Ratings has upgraded JSW Steel's Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) to 'BB+' from 'BB', reflecting an improvement in the company's credit profile. The agency also upgraded the rating on the company's outstanding bonds to 'BB+'.

JSW Steel, one of India's leading steel producers, has a domestic installed steelmaking capacity of 36.4 million tonnes per annum. The ratings upgrade underscores the company's strengthened financial position and creditworthiness.
