India, July 27 -- State-owned Engineers India Ltd (EIL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Directorate General of Maritime Administration (DGMA) to provide engineering consultancy, technical advisory and project management services for the development and modernisation of India's maritime infrastructure.
The agreement, signed on July 24, establishes a framework under which EIL will assist the maritime regulator in planning, developing and implementing projects across the maritime sector.
Under the partnership, EIL will leverage its expertise in hydrocarbon, marine and offshore engineering to support DGMA in executing projects aimed at strengthening India's maritime infrastructure and capabilities.
