India, Sept. 22 -- Engineers India Limited (EIL) has secured a contract worth more than US$450 million from Nigeria-based Dangote Group to serve as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) and EPCM Consultant for a proposed greenfield refinery and petrochemical complex in Kenya.
The project will include a 700,000 barrels-per-day (BPD) refinery, designed to process a wider range of crude and meet growing energy demand across East Africa.
EIL has previously worked with the Dangote Group as PMC and EPCM consultant for its 650,000 BPD integrated refinery and petrochemical complex at Lekki Free Zone in Nigeria, which is currently being expanded to 1.4 million BPD.
