India, June 24 -- The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has commenced construction work at the Central Secretariat Metro Station as part of the Central Vista Corridor project under Phase V(A) of the Delhi Metro expansion.
The new station will be developed as an extension of the Magenta Line from Janakpuri West to RK Ashram Marg and will become a triple interchange station, connecting the Magenta Line with the existing Yellow Line and Violet Line.
The 9.913-km underground corridor will feature nine stations: Shivaji Stadium, Yuge Yugeen Bharat, Central Secretariat, Kartavya Bhawan, India Gate, War Memorial–High Court, Baroda House, Bharat Mandapam, and Indraprastha.
