India, May 26 -- Crude oil prices on Tuesday rose by Rs 152 to Rs 8,778 per barrel in futures trade as traders increased positions amid firm demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange of India, crude oil contracts for June delivery traded higher by Rs 152, or 1.76%, at Rs 8,778 per barrel in 11,942 lots.
Analysts said fresh buying by market participants supported the rise in crude oil prices in futures trade.
