India, Aug. 24 -- Crude oil prices declined by Rs 167 to Rs 8,192 per barrel in futures trading on Monday, tracking weak global market trends and subdued demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), crude oil futures for September delivery fell Rs 167, or 0.2%, to Rs 8,192 per barrel, with a business turnover of 8,897 lots.

Analysts attributed the decline to traders reducing their positions amid weak demand in the spot market, which weighed on crude oil prices.
