India, Oct. 16 -- Crude oil futures prices fell on Friday, tracking negative cues from global markets and subdued demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), crude oil contracts for October delivery declined by Rs 44, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 9,241 per barrel, with a trading volume of 4,179 lots.

Market analysts attributed the decline to traders reducing their positions amid weak spot market demand.
