India, May 8 -- Copper futures moved higher on Friday, supported by firm spot demand and increased participation from traders.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for June delivery gained Rs 10.45, or 0.79%, to Rs 1,330.95 per kg, with a business turnover of 746 lots.

Analysts said the rise in copper prices was driven by fresh buying interest and stronger bets by market participants amid improved demand conditions.
