India, March 4 -- Copper futures on Wednesday climbed by Rs 6.20 to Rs 1,230.35 per kg, supported by improved demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for April delivery increased by Rs 6.20, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 1,230.35 per kilogram in a business turnover of 282 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to fresh positions built by market participants amid firm demand in the physical market.
