India, Oct. 6 -- Copper futures prices rose on Tuesday, supported by stronger demand in the spot market and increased buying by market participants.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for October delivery gained Rs 1.25, or 0.09%, to Rs 1,411.75 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,755 lots.

Analysts attributed the uptick in copper prices to increased positions taken by traders amid firm spot demand.
