India, April 10 -- Copper futures rose by Rs 6.70 to Rs 1,212.45 per kg on Friday, supported by improved demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for May delivery gained Rs 6.70, or 0.56%, to Rs 1,212.45 per kg, with a business turnover of 548 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise to increased buying interest and fresh positions taken by market participants.
