India, June 3 -- The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved a proposed corporate restructuring involving UPL Limited and several group entities, aimed at consolidating its India and global crop protection businesses under a single holding structure.
The restructuring involves a series of interconnected transactions through which UPL Limited will transfer its two key business verticals—the India Crop Protection Business and the Global Crop Protection Business—to UPL Global Sustainable Agri Solutions Limited (UPL 2), a wholly owned subsidiary of UPL.
