India, June 4 -- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a Rs 4,415.6 crore project to upgrade and widen key stretches of NH-347B in Madhya Pradesh under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).

The project involves upgrading the 125-km Hiwarkhedi–Roshni–Ashapur–Rudhy section to a two-lane road with paved shoulders and widening the 109-km Deshgaon–Julwaniya stretch from two lanes to four lanes, covering a total length of nearly 234 km.

The highway upgrade is expected to ease congestion, improve road safety, reduce travel time, and lower vehicle operating costs across the districts of Betul, Khandwa, Khargone, and Barwani. The project also includes the development of a ...
