India, Sept. 8 -- Biocon Ltd has signed a partnership agreement with Bahiafarma and Bionovis for the production and commercialisation of Pertuzumab in Brazil under the country's Productive Development Partnership (PDP) programme.
The Biocon-Bahiafarma-Bionovis consortium has received 100% allocation under Brazil's 10-year PDP programme for Pertuzumab, giving the partners exclusive access to the country's public healthcare market, which accounts for around 70% of Brazil's Pertuzumab demand.
Under the agreement, Biocon will receive milestone payments and a share of revenues generated from the PDP opportunity over the 10-year period. The product is also expected to undergo phased localisation in Brazil over the medium to long term.
