India, July 20 -- The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has facilitated the first export of 24 metric tonnes of frozen French fries from Kashipur, Uttarakhand, to Iraq, marking a significant milestone in promoting value-added agricultural exports from the state.

The consignment, exported by Virun Global Trade Pvt. Ltd., highlights the growing potential of Uttarakhand's processed food industry and is expected to open up long-term export opportunities. APEDA has also supported the exporter through participation in major international trade exhibitions to enhance global market access.
