India, June 15 -- Aluminium futures edged lower on Monday as traders reduced their positions amid subdued demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange of India, aluminium contracts for July delivery declined by 80 paise, or 0.21 per cent, to Rs 372.60 per kg.
Market analysts attributed the decline to profit-booking and reduced participation by traders, following weaker demand from key consuming industries. The subdued trend in the physical market also weighed on sentiment, keeping aluminium prices under pressure during the session.
