India, March 11 -- Aluminium prices advanced in futures trade on Wednesday as traders created fresh positions, supported by a positive trend in the physical market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange of India, aluminium contracts for April delivery climbed by Rs 3.90, or 1.14%, to Rs 344.60 per kilogram, with a trading volume of 98 lots.

Market analysts said fresh buying by participants, driven by improved demand from consuming industries, supported the uptrend in aluminium prices.
