India, July 23 -- Aluminium futures gained Rs. 2.40 to Rs. 348.90 per kg in Thursday's trade on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), supported by fresh buying from market participants.

The August delivery contract rose 0.69%, with a business turnover of 216 lots.

According to analysts, fresh positions by traders, backed by positive spot market trends and steady demand from consuming industries, supported the rise in aluminium futures.
