India, Aug. 4 -- Aluminium futures advanced on Tuesday as traders increased fresh positions, supported by a positive trend in the spot market and steady demand from consuming industries.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), August aluminium contracts gained Rs 2.75, or 0.8%, to Rs 347.30 per kg, with an open interest of 450 lots.
Analysts said fresh buying by market participants, backed by improving demand from end-user industries, lifted aluminium prices in the futures market.
