India, June 2 -- Aluminium prices moved higher in futures trade on Tuesday, supported by firm global market trends and improved sentiment in the industrial metals segment.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange of India, the most-active June aluminium contract gained Rs 2.85, or 0.73%, to Rs 395 per kg, with a trading volume of 4,383 lots.

Market participants attributed the rise in aluminium prices to positive global cues and stronger risk appetite across industrial metals, which encouraged buying interest in the commodity.
