India, Oct. 16 -- Aluminium futures prices edged up on Friday as traders created fresh positions, supported by positive trends in the spot market and demand from consuming industries.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for October delivery rose by 30 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 323.25 per kg, with a trading volume of 197 lots.

Market analysts said fresh buying by participants, along with demand from industrial consumers, supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
