India, June 23 -- Aluminium futures traded lower on Tuesday as participants reduced their positions amid subdued demand from consuming industries and a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, June aluminium contracts fell by Rs 8.95, or 2.53%, to Rs 345.40 per kg, with a trading volume of 985 lots.
Market analysts attributed the decline to lower demand from key consuming sectors, prompting traders to cut positions and weigh on aluminium prices.
