India, March 19 -- Aluminium futures edged lower on Thursday, falling Rs 3.20 to Rs 342.90 per kg, as participants reduced positions amid a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for April delivery slipped 0.92% to Rs 342.90 per kg, with a trading volume of 219 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline to subdued demand from consuming industries, which led traders to cut down their positions.
