Bangladesh, April 3 -- In what is becoming a welcome addition to the capital's social calendar, St Patrick's Day, the National Day of Ireland, was celebrated once again this year, at the initiative of the Honorary Consul of Ireland for Bangladesh, Masud Jamil Khan, and his wife Kate Jaro-Khan, at the couple's Baridhara residence recently.
This is the third year in a row that the Irish Consulate here organized a gathering to celebrate the day, widely popular as one of the most famous holidays in the world in any culture.
