Yet we do not plan with the same precision for our most important asset-our people. The Government has rightly prioritised employment, skills and technical education. The next step is to determine what jobs Bangladesh will need, how many, where and with what skills. A Comprehensive Employment Roadmap 2050, supported by a continuously updated employment intelligence system, could provide that direction.
