India, Sept. 23 -- Another frontier AI model has arrived, and with it the familiar promise of better performance. But the more impactful part of Anthropic's Claude Opus 5.5 launch is the pricing. By now, sequential model launches bringing incremental gains in intelligence and other productivity tweaks have almost become a given. The thinking increasingly seems to be about making the limitations of free tiers more visible and drawing more users into paid plans.
