India, July 17 -- Uttar Pradesh has outlined plans to build a broader deep-tech ecosystem spanning robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), quantum computing, semiconductor design and advanced manufacturing.

At a review meeting of the state's Information Technology and Electronics Department, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to prepare a comprehensive action plan aimed at positioning Uttar Pradesh as a national centre for emerging technologies.

The proposed initiatives include the PRAGATI project in Noida, two U Hubs in Noida and Lucknow, future-focused technology skilling programmes, and revisions to the state's Information Technology Policy.
