India, July 15 -- Spain's Submer Group announced a $2 billion investment in Madhya Pradesh's semiconductor sector on 13 July 2026. The project includes a semiconductor facility and a 1-gigabyte data centre facility in the state, with nearly 5,000 direct jobs projected.

Submer Group is a Spain-based company known for cooling technology used in data centres. The company plans to use the Madhya Pradesh facility as a production base for exporting cooling technology across Asia.
