India, July 27 -- South Korea just made a $950 billion bet that the AI boom isn't slowing down anytime soon. SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics have signed long-term memory chip supply partnerships with major US technology companies, combining for what may be the largest semiconductor supply commitment in history.

SK Hynix is set to supply $750 billion worth of chips, primarily to Nvidia. Samsung Electronics will contribute $200 billion in chip supply to Broadcom.
