SEQUANCES: Deciphering the vulnerabilities of quantum cryptography systems
India, Aug. 4 -- Quantum cryptography, which promises to significantly enhance the security of communications, has not yet revealed all its secrets.
Through the Carnot SEQUANCES project, CEA-Leti has substantially deepened its understanding of these systems by investigating potential physical attacks targeting the optical-to-digital interface that could threaten their security.
Quantum cryptography should not be confused with post-quantum cryptography (PQC). Unlike PQC and conventional cryptography, which rely on mathematical approaches, the security of quantum cryptography is based on the laws of quantum physics.
