Salesforce's USD 1.2 billion Agentforce ARR sits alongside fresh job cuts
India, June 11 -- Salesforce's latest results and its subsequent workforce reductions present two sides of the enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) story.
On May 27, 2026, Salesforce reported that Agentforce had reached USD 1.2 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR), representing growth of 205% year-on-year. Less than two weeks later, reports emerged of fresh layoffs affecting roles associated with Agentforce, MuleSoft, and Marketing Cloud.
The timing invites scrutiny, particularly after Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff described how AI tools were improving engineering productivity. However, Salesforce has not publicly linked the latest job cuts to those productivity gains.
