India, Sept. 15 -- PwC US and PwC India have announced plans to form a joint venture bringing together PwC India's consulting business and PwC US Advisory's India-based capabilities.

The proposed entity will combine market relationships, industry expertise, technology, engineering, AI and managed services on a single integrated platform. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of calendar 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.

PwC has not disclosed the proposed entity's workforce size in its official announcement. Published reports, however, put the number at around 40,000 employees at launch, giving the new platform significant scale from the outset.
