India, May 15 -- NTT DATA has released new global research showing that enterprises are increasingly constrained by data privacy, sovereignty, and localisation requirements as they scale AI deployments.

The company's 2026 Global AI Report, based on responses from nearly 5,000 senior decision-makers across more than 30 markets, highlights a widening gap between enterprises that are redesigning infrastructure early for sovereign and private AI, and organisations still trying to fit AI workloads into architectures originally designed for borderless data flows.
