India, Sept. 26 -- The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has kicked off the preparatory phase of Special Campaign 5.0, running from September 16 to 30, 2025. The initiative seeks to institutionalize cleanliness, cut back on pending files, and create a smoother experience for citizens engaging with government offices.

Special Campaign 2025 is part of a wider government effort to embed Swachhata (cleanliness) into the daily functioning of ministries and departments. For MeitY, this means tackling two fronts at once: ensuring tidy physical spaces and strengthening digital record management.
