India, July 27 -- Intel and Fortinet have announced a strategic collaboration to develop Fortinet's next-generation Security Processor 6 (SP6), deepening their existing partnership to accelerate custom cybersecurity chip development while improving the resilience of Fortinet's global semiconductor supply chain.

The collaboration brings together Fortinet's expertise in purpose-built application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) for cybersecurity with Intel's semiconductor design, advanced packaging, and manufacturing capabilities.
