India, July 29 -- NextGO Epi, a Berlin-based deep-tech startup and spin-off of the Leibniz Institute for Crystal Growth (IKZ), has closed a €2 million pre-seed funding round.

The company produces gallium oxide epitaxy wafers for next-generation power electronics. Its process creates a groundbreaking semiconductor material that could reduce the charging time of electric cars from 60 to just 10 minutes, while simultaneously lowering the manufacturing costs of power semiconductors by up to 75%.
