India, Aug. 20 -- In continuation to the approvals of 75 applications involving investment of Rs 61,671 crore announced earlier, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has further approved 31 proposals under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) with projected investment of Rs 6,844 crore.

The event of handing over of approvals was held at New Delhi in collaboration with Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA).The event was also attended by Union Minister of Electronics and IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Electronics and IT, S. Krishnan, Secretary MeitY, Sushil Pal, Joint Secretary MeitY, and Sasikumar Gendham, President ELCINA.
