India, Aug. 13 -- Continental Device India Ltd. (CDIL) has been approved as part of the Cabinet's Rs 4,600 crore plan under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM).

A 60-year old legacy pioneer in semiconductor manufacturing, the company will expand its Mohali facility to produce high-power discrete devices MOSFETs, IGBTs, Schottky Bypass diodes, and transistors in both silicon and silicon carbide.

CDIL has been manufacturing high-reliability semiconductor devices since 1964 for organizations like ISRO, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, HAL, BEL, among others.
