India, Oct. 26 -- Bihar's Education Department has partnered with 11 information technology companies, including Google Education, to train government school teachers in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital skills, according to reports published by Dainik Jagran and The Times of India on October 25.

The training forms part of a wider plan to make computer education compulsory from Class 6 in government schools from the next academic session, while developing the infrastructure needed to support it.

The initiative brings teacher training and classroom infrastructure together. Its success will depend on whether teachers can put their training into practice, supported by working equipment and ongoing technical assistance.
