The problem may be small-a quality parameter that was missed somewhere earlier in the production process. But when this happens to 20 or 30 vehicles every day, the consequences begin to travel well beyond the factory floor. Vehicles wait. Rework begins. Dispatch schedules slip. Dealers are affected. Customers wait longer.

The factory may already have an ERP system, a manufacturing execution system (MES), quality applications, connected machines and years of operational data. Yet the problem persists.
