India, Sept. 16 -- At Autodesk University 2026, Autodesk placed a bet larger than adding AI features to design and construction software. The company is building towards an agentic, connected platform in which AI understands industry context, operates across workflows, and ultimately learns from what happens to buildings, products, and creative assets after they leave the design screen.

The larger problem Autodesk is addressing is capacity. AI is expanding what is possible, but the ability to deliver in the real world remains constrained by money, labour, and resources. Autodesk sees AI as a way to expand what people can accomplish with the resources they have, across Design, Make, and Operate.
