India, May 12 -- Union Minister for Railways, Electronics and Information Technology and Information & Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw has stated that artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, and railways will play a central role in driving India's next phase of economic growth and technological transformation.

Speaking at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Annual Business Summit 2026, Vaishnaw highlighted that India is witnessing rapid progress in railway modernization, electronics manufacturing and semiconductor development, supported by policy reforms and strong infrastructure investments.
