India, Sept. 22 -- Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly becoming part of India's cybersecurity machinery, but the same technology being deployed to strengthen enterprise defences is also creating a new layer of risk that many organisations may not yet be prepared to manage.

The latest findings discussed by ISACA reveal an Indian cybersecurity ecosystem caught between accelerating AI adoption and uneven operational readiness. Security teams are automating routine tasks, using AI for threat detection, and becoming more involved in AI governance. At the same time, organisations face shortages in specialised AI security skills, limited AI-specific incident exercises, persistent vacancies, and rising workforce stress.
