Pakistan, May 16 -- Pakistan's Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on Saturday to sight the Zilhaj moon, setting the stage for the official announcement of Eidul Azha. The meeting will review moon-sighting reports from across the country. The decision will determine the start of the Islamic month and Eid timings.

The session will be held at the Pakistan Meteorological Department office in Karachi under the chairmanship of Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad. Regional and district committees will also meet simultaneously to collect local observations. Moreover, all reports will be forwarded for final verification at the central level.
